Surgery went well!
I think the scariest part was just getting the IV put in. I was so scared to move my hand, so it cramped up just a bit.
Once I was put to sleep with anesthesia, everything went by very quickly and now I’m sitting here on bedrest…getting up three or four times a day just to go pee or something.
In a strange way, getting pain meds put into you via IV and falling asleep with anesthesia is one of the most memorable moments I’ve ever had. I was joking around with the nurses and surgeon before I got started and they told me to remember a trigger word so I wouldn’t forget the moment—I chose “non-sterile” because that’s the first thing I saw -_-
Anyway, all’s well that ends well! The only sucky thing is that I have to miss at least another week of school…that’s already two weeks. My grades are going to be gg after this week…well, at least I got the SAT taken care of yesterday!~
